Upon Further Review

I've been pondering the Palestinian elections the last few days. As I said previously, the legacy of Ariel Sharon is not as bright and shining as everyone is making it out to be. But the question du jour is, would we be intellectually honest if we didn't also fault the current administration for pushing the idea of a pull-out from Gaza? Bush and Rice were sorely misguided in their handling of the situation. We have empowered and emboldened the terrorists of not only Israel, but the entire world by implicitly communicating the idea that if they persevere with their homicide bombings, they too will eventually win concessions- even if it takes 35 years.
